You reach a point when…
… you know that your old ways are no longer serving you.
Your old:
Habits
Thought patterns
Behaviours
Routines
Actions
Change and growth can be scary because what we once believed to be true is gradually changing. The process of transformation is an evolutionary one. As we let go of the old we need to embrace the new.
However, that is often easier said than done, as during the actual transformation process we often feel lost and detached. As if we have nothing to hold on to. We feel everything we have known (our comfort zones) are falling away.
Given where you are in life, is there something that needs to fall away in order for the new to emerge?
In terms of a relationship, is there a behavioural pattern or habit that is holding your back from achieving that you would like to achieve?
In business, is there a strategy that is no longer supporting who you have become of what you want to contribute to the world?
In your career, it could be letting go of a direction you have always pursued as is no longer fulfils you?
Often we cling to the old ways because we are unsure of the new. But by doing so, it hampers our growth and prevents the new from emerging. Thus, stunting our transformation process. It takes bravery and courage to let go of the old and make space for the new. Perhaps you would find comforting and reassuring that despite letting go of the old, it still remains with us in the form of wisdom and knowledge.
If you are brave enough: What might emerge if you let go, of what you know in your heart, needs to be?
