They are long, strong and beautiful but other than being aesthetically appealing they are not helping me to type.
Without giving it much thought, I have let me nails grow. Having recently slammed my finger between two rocks, I am grateful for having fingernails, but the length is hindering me for creating and working.
What automatic activities do you find yourself doing that are not enabling you to get one step closer to your goal? Is sitting on the couch really going to get your closer to being fitter?
Where in your life have you allowed things to just continue as they would naturally without paying much attention? Do you automatically log on to social media and find yourself scrolling down the page?
Mindless, automatic activities pass the time but divert your attention from being fulling present.
Being fully in the moment is being all there. All here.
Sistercody explains how to be present without judgement:
“When I try to hold this moment, I lose it. When I try to control this moment, I lose it. When I try to possess this moment, I lose it. When I try to manipulate the moment to best serve my expectations, I lose it. When I try to understand it all, I lose it.
But when I accept this moment for exactly what it is, ALL things included – I become the moment. I become connected with everything. To everything. Nothing is missing because everything is RIGHT HERE. I lovingly invite you to find peace RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. That is the only place true peace lives. No matter what you may have going on in your life. Things do not have to be perfect for peace. Peace is HERE. Look within. Feel it.”
Finding a mindful anchor can enable you to become more present during your day. Choosing something that will remind you to take a breath and bring yourself into the moment. It could be sparkle or a colour or something fluffy or a bird or ant. Whenever your see your chosen sign, take a breath and feel into the moment you are in.
Where are you right now? Here or somewhere else?
