If you run a race and start before the starter’s gun, you will receive a penalty or could be disqualified.
Timing is perfect.
You may not agree that timing is perfect. Perhaps you are still in the job that you were hoping to leave or you are trying your best to lose weight or were planning to be marathon fit before the end of the year or have your health back on track. Whatever your goal, it just hasn’t happened yet, despite all your effort.
Sometimes things just need a bit more time.
I decided to go gluten free. In a recent attempt to make my own bread (although its technically not true as I used a gluten free bread mix pack). The recipe stated that I should bake the bread for 22min but it was still doughy in the middle. So, I extended the cooking time.
In life, it’s not that we need be baked but more that there is some experience we need to learn in order to get to where we aim to be. If you look back on when events or goals have not gone according to plan, you can often find a reason why.
If you find yourself disheartened, frustrated or annoyed that despite all your efforts things are not working out according to your timing, be present. Allow yourself to enjoy the moment as if you had chosen it for yourself. Accept it. Experience it in all its entirety. You will be able to use this experience to help you to get to where you want to be.
It will work out. Hang in there, don’t give up. Keep going, learn the lessons along the way. You will get there.
So true! Thanks for sharing the inspiring words, Kim!
