“No, it isn’t perfect and what if its not good enough”- I recall the conversation I had with my own life coach when I launched my Facebook page. I was worried that it wasn’t good enough or perfect enough.
I was anxious and worried about many things when I started coaching.
What are you anxious about?
Sometimes our need to want things to work well inhibits us from taking action. Whether is starting an exercise routine, or going out to meet new people when you are isolated, or starting a new website, or embarking on a new task, or a new diet.
Applying the Just Do Something rule helps you make the shift. If you are starting to exercise but are struggling to find the motivation – just do 4 minutes of exercise.
If you have what feels like a mammoth task ahead just set a micro goal and do that. The sense of achievement for starting sparks the ability to set another micro-goal and continues to motivate you.
Regardless about what lies ahead Just Do Something no matter how small. By completing and celebrating the micro-goals, it creates a shift in your thinking and energy. Which in turn, enables you to take action again, even if it means adapting in your next action step.
If you are grappling with a problem, start writing down ideas no matter how random they seem. You will figure it out. The most important thing is to Just Do Something no matter how small.
By taking Action you become Inspired which leads to Motivation (AIM).
Next time you are stuck – Just Do Something! You will be amazed at what you achieve over time.
