Times Up!
The excuses and perhaps valid reasons begin after just 5 seconds.
Mel Robins advises to take action within 5 seconds to transform your idea into a reality.
The action may not be completing the entire task but just taking the 1st step.
It could be as simple as writing it down or literally walking towards a person you would like to talk to.
By doing so you transform the abstract idea in your head to something tangible in this reality.
Within this tiny window of opportunity, you can access your courage for free, without your minds interference.
Like with anything, the more you practise, the more you train your brain to take action within the 5 seconds.
You can also use the idea to assist with decisions – the now or never. Tell yourself that you are going to make a decision within 5 seconds. Start the countdown and by the time you get to one, the decision has been made.
Go on, give yourself the gift of using your uninhibited courage!
Carpe diem!
