Fault! The empire shouts.
Despite the tennis player getting it wrong, they would just carry on.
Regardless if it’s Wimbledon or any other tennis match, the players carry on playing when they make a mistake.
Even the world champions make mistakes. Everyone does.
What is your approach towards yourself when you make a mistake?
Do you stop what you are doing and criticise yourself? Or do you do as the champions do and carry on regardless?
Whilst there is merit in briefly reviewing why mistakes happen so you can learn from them. Is it worth replaying it over and over again?
How much time do you spend procrastinating because there has been a challenge or something hasn’t gone the way you expected it to?
In tennis, once the player has hit the ball it is no longer within his control. If it hit the net or is out, there is nothing the player can do about.
Do you let go after taking action? Do you allow the situation to evolve organically? Or do you worry, stress and try to control it even though its no longer within you control?
As the player continues to play, he adapts to the changes and an advantage appears.
Opportunities will appear as you continue to play this game called life. Even more so if you are open to them but not attached to the outcome.
Perhaps in ways that you never could have imagined.
Keep going, pause occasionally but don’t look back because you are not headed that way.
