Alone.
Just me.
No one to hold my hand while I shine my light.
Teaching a yoga class is nerve racking for me. It’s tough, not only physically – having to project your voice and do hard core exercise at the same time – but also emotionally.
Although my partner, friends, family, and classmates are supportive. It’s me, up there, in front of the class, teaching on my own.
Some of the toughest things you do in your life, you do on your own. You may have support on the side-lines but when you do it, you are on your own.
As you progress on your journey of life. You will pass through dark times, perhaps working through your own shadow work or even just processing events that have surrounded you in darkness.
There will be support along the way if you are open to it. Allow it in. But know that you have your own internal light that will always be there.
In times when you can’t see it, you will need to look within, beyond your rainbow list and self-doubt. Behind all of that, is a beautiful soul that is just waiting for you to let it shine.
Other people can see it at times, but ultimately when you choose to silence the inner critic, you can see your true self. Your radiant being that is and always has been you, within you.
Science has proved that you do actually radiate light.
Be compassionate towards yourself, loving yourself without judgement. Rather just being. The thoughts will come and go. Some will run away with you, others will fade.
Choose to consciously remember that you constantly emit your radiant light. You don’t have to do anything just be you.
