Depending on your circumstances, the holiday period can mean different things to different people.
For some of you, its new beginnings such as my brother and his wife are spending time with their new baby who was born just over a week ago. Or it is feeling the loss of those people that are no longer with us as I think a dear friend of mine lost her mother to cancer over the weekend.
In both these circumstances, their lives will never be the same again.
The only constant thing in life is change. With change comes growth. It is inevitable. Even if you don’t want to change, life doesn’t really give you a choice. It happens regardless.
As the year draws to a close and you evaluate all that has happen, all that you have experienced. You reflect on those moments that were precious or that you never thought you would survive. Well done! You have made it.
It is important to acknowledge yourself and what has happened in your life. Yes, you can focus on the bad but there is good too.
Looking back through this year of growth, ask yourself one question: What can you do today that you were not capable of a year ago?
